We use high quality electronic parts including CTS pots, Vishay/Sprague Orange Drop Caps or PIO capacitors, switchcraft jacks and toggles, CRL and Oak Grigsby lever style switches. Upgrade your import guitar's electronics to the brands used in high end guitars.	Ask for quote.
Shield Guitar Cavities - Helps prevent hum. Controls and pickups are removed and the cavities are shielded with copper foil or conductive paint.	$60

The parts on the left side are cheap parts that we have pulled from import guitars and replaced with quality parts like the ones shown in the right hand column. Unless requested otherwise AM Guitar Repair installs CTS volume and tone pots, Switchcraft, CRL and Oak Grigsby Jacks and Switches and Vishay Sprague Orange Drop Tone Capacitors. These are the types of components found in higher end American made guitars. These parts are much more reliable than the lower priced components and can open up the tone of your guitar. AM Guitar Repair can help you find the tone you are looking for in your guitar.

Acoustic Guitar Pickup Installation (Price quote available on request) AM Guitar Repair is a dealer for Fishman. Fishman is used by top professional guitarists. Installation price depends on the pickup system you choose.
"Acoustic" pickup installed on Electric Guitar (Price quote available on request) Need an acoustic guitar tone, but don't want to bring one to the gig or switch guitars? AM Guitar Repair can install a piezo bridge system in your electric guitar to give you acoustic tone. Switch between electric, acoustic, or blend the two together.

This beautiful import guitar was in need of a "tone makeover". The stock pickups were just not cutting it for the owner.

The white knobs were replaced with black to match the new Carvin pickups. This guitar now sounds as good as it looks!

Wiring Mods

Kill Switch - Cuts the signal from your guitar. Toggle or momentary switch. Price based on minimal modification to guitar.			$50
Telecaster 4 Way Switch Mod Parts included! The stock 3 way pickup selector switch on a Telecaster (or other guitars with 3 position slide switch) is replaced with a 4 position switch. The 4th setting puts the 2 pickups in series for an additional fuller tone that is not available with standard wiring. The original look of the guitar is retained. Switch Position: Bridge pickup only Bridge and neck pickup in parallel (normal sound) Neck pickup only Bridge and neck pickup in series (fuller tone)			$65
Push - Pull Switch Parts included!	One	Two	Three
Push - Pull Switches mounted to tone or volume control(s) which can be used to activate one of the choices below. The original look of the guitar is retained. Coil Tap - Turns your humbucking (dual coil) pickup into a single coil pickup. (Note: pickup must be wired for coil tap) Pickup Always On - (aka 7 sound Strat) With a 3 pickup guitar and a 5 way switch (Strat style), you are missing out on the bridge + neck pickup and the bridge + middle + neck pickup combinations. This mod will give you those combinations. Phase Switch - Switches pickups out of phase for a "quacky" sound. Play That Funky Music Series/Parallel - Guitar pickups are typically wired in parallel. You can broaden your choices by switching them in series for a fuller tone. This switch works great with Jazz Bass or any guitar or bass with 2 single coil pickups. Note: These modifications can also be installed with additional switches mounted on your guitar. Ask for a quote.	$45	$60	$80


This J5 Tele has many electronic mods including a kill switch, 4-way series/parallel pickup selector switch, push-pull coil tap, push-pull phase switch, and finally a Roland Guitar Synth pickup installed.	Above is the control plate from a Jazz Bass. The customer wanted more low end and more tone options from his instrument. A series/parallel push-pull switch was added to the neck pickup volume control. The pickups in series make the 2 single coil pickups a virtual humbucker for a fatter sound. The tone control was replaced by a 6 position tone switch. This give 6 distinct tone settings and is much more useful than the stock tone control. To the left is a Firebird guitar. We installed a Gibson Dirty Fingers pickup installed in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan P-Rail in the neck position. The P-Rail is like 3 pickups in one. It is a P-90 style pickup with a blade style single coil pickup attached. It can operate in 3 modes: P-90, humbucker, and blade style single coil. The modes are controlled by the 3 position mini-switch that was installed on the pickguard.
